Who we are
TreeOak Films is an independent production company based in Sydney, Australia, focused on creating original films, visual productions, and emotionally driven storytelling experiences.
Founded through a passion for character centred filmmaking and collaborative creativity, TreeOak Films develops projects that explore atmosphere, human emotion, tension, faith, memory, and the complexity of modern life.
Alongside original productions, the company also collaborates with artists, musicians, writers, and creatives to help bring external ideas and concepts to life through cinematic visual media.
Meet The Founder
Othniel Mani is an Australian filmmaker, actor, writer, and creative director whose work spans film, theatre, photography, and live performance.
Beginning his creative journey through church and community productions, Othniel Mani developed a passion for emotionally driven storytelling rooted in faith, humanity, redemption, and personal struggle. He began writing and directing original Christian theatre productions for Fathers Care Inc, using live performance to explore meaningful and spiritually reflective narratives.
Othniel later studied at the Academy of Film, Theatre and Television (AFTT), graduating with a Bachelor of Stage and Screen Acting. His training encompassed screen acting, theatre performance, voice, movement, and character development.
Since then, he has worked across film, theatre, television, photography, and independent productions both in front of and behind the camera. His experience includes acting, directing, production photography, and visual content creation across a wide range of creative projects.
Today, Othniel leads TreeOak Films, TreeOak Productions, and TreeOak Media, developing original films, theatre productions, music videos, and collaborative creative works that combine cinematic atmosphere with emotionally grounded storytelling.
